3D Modeling and Printing Workshop for the Humanities & Social Sciences

Join us for a FREE workshop on March 4 @ 1pm at St. Jerome’s DRAGEN Lab to learn all about 3D modeling and printing at an introductory level!

Through this workshop participants will explore the methodology and processes behind 3D model creation and printing. This workshop is geared towards faculty, graduate and undergraduate students in the field of humanities. Participants in the workshop will gain knowledge about the various commonly used 3D printers, materials used in 3D printing, and the software needed for designing 3D models. Participants will also learn how to prepare 3D models for printing, adjust printer settings, and troubleshoot common issues with 3D printers.

This workshop includes demonstrations of 3D printing in action, allowing participants to see the process from start to finish. The participants will be involved in a hands-on experience in designing their own 3D models and printing them using our printer. The workshop will include a group discussion of use cases of 3D modeling and printing in humanity research.
